On a beautiful Sunday morning, volunteers set out around 8am with buckets and burlap bags ready to fill with trash for this west coast cleanup! The cleanup took place at Dockweiler State Beach in Los Angeles, California.
After a productive morning of cleaning, the volunteers in attendance brought back their buckets and bags filled with ocean-bound trash to dump into one large pile. Like most 4Ocean cleanups, the trash was rinsed off and then sorted according to material. Whatever could be recycled was brought to a recycling facility and the remainder of non-recyclables was brought to a local reputable waste facility.
In total, the volunteers collected 112 pounds of trash! We are proud of everyone who volunteered their time and dedicated their day to helping out Los Angeles. This group is a great example of how working together really does make a big difference!
