Montserrat Cleanup

The 4Ocean Team was able to partner with Coral Cay Conservation again for two successful cleanups for World Oceans Day.

Although the cleanup took place on a very hot afternoon, that did not stop the crew and volunteers from working their hardest to get Carr’s Bay as clean as it can be! There was a good turn out from the Montserrat community who were dedicated and passionate about cleaning all the trash from the bay!

There was both a beach and a dive cleanup to celebrate World Oceans Day. Volunteers took to the shores of the bay to remove as much trash and marine debris as they could find. By the end of the afternoon, the team in Montserrat was able to successfully remove a little more than 550 pounds of rubbish!

Volunteer divers made their way to the water to clean the trash they could find from the floor of the bay. In total, they were able to successfully collect over 100 pounds of trash!
