On February 26, 2025, the 4ocean Denpasar team embarked on another mission to restore the beauty of Mengening Beach. What they found among the usual plastic waste was disheartening—once again, dolls and other discarded personal items were strewn across the shore, contributing to the ever-growing pollution problem.

Led by Captain Agus, the dedicated team—including Ketut, Wiradana, Wayan Kariada, Putu Adi, Aftaf Virmansyah, Gung Wawan, Bagas, Dika, and Made—worked tirelessly to clear the debris. The sight of abandoned dolls has become a recurring issue in recent months. The crew couldn’t help but wonder about the stories behind these discarded toys—why were they left here, and what led people to think the ocean was the right place to dispose of them?

Aside from the dolls, the team encountered large amounts of plastic waste, including bottles, bags, and wrappers. In total, they managed to collect an astonishing 499.8 lbs of trash. However, some of the waste was particularly challenging to retrieve, as it had become entangled in tree branches along the shoreline.

The presence of these discarded toys and other personal items serves as a stark reminder of the impact of consumer habits on the environment. The team emphasized the need for individuals to be more mindful when purchasing and disposing of goods. Instead of buying items that will eventually become waste, people should consider sustainable alternatives—products that have long-term value and do not contribute to pollution.

4ocean’s mission aligns with this philosophy. By purchasing 4ocean bracelets and accessories, supporters not only help fund cleanup efforts but also promote responsible consumerism. Every small action, from making eco-friendly purchases to disposing of waste properly, contributes to a cleaner planet.

Maintaining a clean environment is not solely the responsibility of cleanup teams—it is a collective effort. The 4ocean Denpasar team urges everyone to be proactive in reducing plastic use, disposing of waste properly, and spreading awareness about the importance of sustainability.

"Every individual should take part in environmental cleanliness. Small actions, such as reducing plastic use and properly disposing of waste, contribute to a healthier and more sustainable planet."

As the waves continue to wash ashore, bringing both beauty and reminders of human impact, the 4ocean Denpasar team remains committed to their mission. Their hope is that one day, the only things left on Mengening Beach will be the footprints of those who respect and cherish the ocean.
