Additionally, the company has started a recycling program that encourages consumers to return empty bottles for recycling and reuse.
Despite being a sustainable material, glass has drawbacks such as weight and breakability, which can raise product waste and transportation emissions. Nonetheless, it is a formidable competitor in the push for environmentally friendly packaging due to its overall advantages.
2. Recyclable and Recycled Polymers
Utilizing recycled plastics is an additional environmentally friendly option. Post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics, which are manufactured from previously used plastic materials, are becoming more and more popular among brands.
