Once you’re done with your 4ocean product, please reach out to our customer service team to receive a prepaid shipping label.

The 4ocean Closed-Loop Program is only available in the U.S. for now, but we plan to expand in the future.

“We’re working to save these animals, but if they don’t have a clean ocean home to go back to then we’re not solving the problem.”

    Dr. Claire Simeone

    Hospital Director, Ke Kai Ola
    The Marine Mammal Center

The accumulation of marine debris, especially discarded fishing gear, is relentless in Hawaiian monk seal habitats. The number of seals found entangled remains largely the same each year.

Entanglement is one of the largest threats Hawaiian monk seals face. In fact, they have one of the highest documented entanglement rates of any pinniped species. It’s estimated that there are fewer than 1,400 of these animals left in the wild.

That’s why it’s crucial that we take steps to reduce the overproduction and overconsumption of single-use plastic. By preventing plastic from entering the ocean in the first place, we can prevent it from entering Hawaiian monk seal habitats where it can cause more harm.

Our $25,000 donation to The Marine Mammal Center will support the work happening at Ke Kai Ola, the hospital they opened to care for sick, injured, and orphaned Hawaiian monk seals.

Purchasing a 4ocean bracelet does more than clean the ocean. It also creates sustainable, living-wage jobs.

As soon as our beads, cords, and charms reach our main facility in Denpasar, Bali, a crew loads up our van and motorbikes to distribute these components to artisans in remote villages scattered across the island.

Women comprise 80 percent of this workforce. In Bali, women tend to assume the role of primary caretakers for their families, which means their job opportunities are limited. Because they’re able to hand assemble our bracelets in their homes and village centers, more women are able to join the workforce while continuing to care for their families.
