Position Overview:

Chief Cleanup Officer The CCO will be a strategic partner on the Leadership team and will work closely with the cleanups team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations, and will coach and develop the team to ensure they are delivering all core work in business planning within, which includes and is not limited to event & volunteer planning, education, site logistic, fleet management, and volunteerand service to clients. In addition, the CCO has the overall responsibility for the firm’s financial operations and timely & accurate financial reporting (including financial reports for licensing), overseeing accounting and personnel, and managing all aspects of accounting while ensuring policies and procedures are followed, including all relevant federal and state regulatory rules. He/Shewill be expected to foster national and international relationships between individuals, organizations, and governments in order to assist 4ocean’s mission towards becoming the largest, most reputable ocean cleanup organization in the world.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Position and prepare 4ocean’s domestic and international scalable growth – infrastructure, people, process.
  • Serves as the company expert who analyzes a variety of market entry complexities (both foreign and domestic), which are critical to the development and operations of ocean cleanup.
  • Coordinate with the US Foreign Embassies to ensure coordination among company operations and goals, to help meet market entry.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to arrange permits, equipment rental/purchase, organize labor/volunteers, logistics, and legal.
  • Anticipates potential policy problems, assesses impact from governing authorities and ensure state and country laws.
  • Build new relationships and sponsorships both domestically and internationally.
  • Travel for multiple days to potential cleanup sites for discovery and research purposes.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies as they apply to ocean and land cleanup.
  • Conducting, leading and managing training and training assistance programs for 4ocean event education and research for CEO, COO,volunteers, corporate employees, and any other decision makers

  • Master’s Degree in project management, international business, or any other relevant field
  • Extensive experience in domestic/international large multi-site project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong appreciation for the environment and sustainability.
  • Multi/Bilingual – a strong plus.
  • Occasional international travel 20% or less.
  • Must be located at corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, FL.
