The ideal candidate for our Data Administrator r is a detail-oriented, inquisitive person who enjoys collecting and
mining data for unusual trends, has a knack for finding and understanding data signals and who can provide insight into
their root causes.
The Data Administrator is a cross-functional leader who can share their insights and make data-backed recommendations
in a meaningful, easy to understand way with multiple business units including Cleanups, Marketing, Logistics,
Operations, and IT.
The Database Administrator will perform day-to-day database administration and serve as the “go to” for internal 4ocean
colleagues. They will also monitor data collection program quality and adherence to data quality standards by running
and archiving reports, performing regular data audits and creating data sets for program evaluation. They will be asked
to provide insights and ideas for better business performance based upon the data and information they monitor and
Database Administration and Expansion.
Organization of data sets such as photos, weight data and receipts in one database to be shared with other departments
within the organization.
Establish and manage user accounts, permissions, system settings, and security access.
Manage all customization needs and back end fixes.
Analyze database issues and troubleshoot problems.
Manage data uploads to support organization-wide processes
Assist with data migration from other systems as needed
Leverage large data sets to surface actionable insights that help transform the strategic direction of the business
Use statistical data analysis methods to feed the continuous improvement pipeline with opportunities to pursue cost
efficiencies and quality improvements.
Envision, develop, and deploy tools to streamline processes to gain efficiencies and improve key metrics
Provide daily reporting and insights as well as in-depth sales and audience analysis.
Experience with web platforms such as Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, Tableau, Google Sheets and other analytic
platforms required. Experience with ArgoTrak and marine or weather related data sources is desirable.
Ability to manage quality control of data sets.
Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to drive deliverables from start to finish across multiple teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics or Data Management or a related quantitative
2-4 years of data analysis and database management
Ability to write SQL queries to perform data collection and mining
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner with various levels of leadership within
