Position Overview:

Facilities Maintenance Specialist will manage building and equipment maintenance schedules, test building security systems and prepare for emergencies by creating action plans. Facilities leader may be responsible for the maintenance and security of one building and referred to as the building coordinator. May be involved in planning for the future building space and supply needs of an organization. Leaders communicate daily with supply vendors and update company executives regularly.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
  • Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocol
  • Maintain office equipment, physical space and telecommunications systems
  • Handle building-equipment emergencies on an ongoing basis and serve as a liaison between company employees and outside contractors called in to fix problems.

  • 1+ year’s experience in facilities coordinator role
  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills
