In the scenic waters of Jembrana, Bali, 4ocean’s crew embarked on another mission to clear plastic waste from the environment. Despite numerous challenges, their teamwork and determination led to a successful day of impactful ocean cleanup.
Overcoming Mechanical Issues
The day started with an unexpected challenge—a flooded engine due to a clogged carburetor. Instead of letting it delay the mission, the crew quickly fixed the problem. This adaptability and problem-solving attitude are crucial for their daily operations.
Teamwork in Action
Their next obstacle involved a tricky towing operation. The crew had to navigate sandbars and low tides while coordinating multiple vessels. They overcame these hurdles through precise teamwork and clear communication, highlighting the importance of collaboration in their environmental mission.
Fighting Plastic Pollution
The trash collected during the cleanup is dominated by single-use plastics, such as sachets and packaging. Even in muddy and challenging conditions, the team remained focused on removing as much plastic as possible.
